How it began
Owning a business is exciting, but I quickly learned that keeping the finances in order is just as important as the work itself. My husband and I run a custom fencing business, and in the early days, I found myself deep in the numbers – tracking expenses, managing invoices and making sure everything balanced. What started as a necessity turned into a passion as I saw how clear, organized finances make running a business so much smoother.
Experience
I believe in blending practical experience with professional training. I’m a Bookkeeper Launch graduate with an Associate Digital Bookkeeper Certification and over five years of hands-on business experience between running our fencing company and selling real estate. While I have a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Business, most of what I know about bookkeeping and financial strategy has come from real-world experience.
Home and family
Beyond bookkeeping, my life revolves around faith, family and the country lifestyle. My husband and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary this year and we’ve spent the past five years in Detroit Lakes, building our life on a hobby property outside of town. We have two daughters, a three-year-old and a three-month-old! We love raising cattle, gardening, and are excited to raise our kids in an environment where they will grow up learning hands-on life skills.
